11 Co Stars Who Were Completely Repulsed By Their Co Stars

Although it might be all smiles once the cameras are rolling, the truth is that not all actors and actresses enjoy being around each other. Fortunately, most of them were able to hide their true feelings on screen thanks to their stellar acting skills. From petty cover shoots to intense co-star battles, these are the actors that always butted heads with their co-stars.

1. Claire Danes & Leo DiCaprio

In “Romeo + Juliet,” these two played star-crossed lovers, but in reality, they hated each other. This was evidently based on the fact that they just had different personalities. Based on a source, Danes got annoyed with DiCaprio’s pranks on the crew and cast, while Leo found his co-star uptight.

2. Betty White & Bea Arthur

Although they played BFFs in “The Golden Girls”, White’s upbeat vibe apparently didn’t mesh well with Bea Arthur. Although White said that the two got on each other’s nerves, in a “New York Times” panel discussion she said they were still close. However,  Bea did get annoyed at White’s constantly positive attitude.

3. Lea Michele & Naya Rivera

Lea Michele had quite the reputation for being a bully to a variety of people on “Glee,” and the late Naya Rivera was no exception. Sources confirmed the on-set feud, and Rivera said that Lea even ignored her completely through all over season 6, comparing the starlet to her on-screen character Rachel.

4. Nick Nolte & Julia Roberts

In “I Love Trouble,” Nick and Julia apparently had burning hate for each other before the movie even came out. From the very start, Julia had tantrums and both of them had a visible temper. Apparently, it was so bad, that they played more to stand-ins than each other. There are also tons of passive-aggressive gems in interviews.

5. The entire Desperate Housewives cast and Teri Hatcher

Hatcher always got first dibs on a wardrobe or posed in the center of the group, even though ABC promised not to play favorites with her. As a result, the other actresses did not have the most positive feelings toward Hatcher given her diva behavior.

6. Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer

The two hunkiest hunks of the “Magic Mike” franchise unfortunately aren’t the best of friends. While we can’t imagine Tatum actively hating on everyone, Pettyfer took on a standoffish attitude on the set of the film due to his own insecurity. He also rented an apartment from one of Tatum’s friends and didn’t pay rent. How embarrassing!

7. Bill Murray & Lucy Liu

This is a surprising feud to many. Based on the rumors, Liu physically tried to attack Bill Murray on the set of “Charlie’s Angels” after he made a jab at her acting skills. In a 2009 interview, Murray did confirm a feud, saying in an interview that he dismisses people who are “unprofessional” when working with him.

8. Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey

Although they were meant to depict a couple that’s head over heels for each other, in real life, things weren’t so rosy. While filming the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing,” Swayze thought Grey was a baby who would emotionally burst into tears if anyone criticized her on set, or couldn’t stop giggling and slipped into silly moods that ended up wasting everyone’s time. He wrote the brutal truth in his autobiography.

9. Debra Winger & Shirley McLaine

Playing a mother and daughter on screen, their relationship in the film and in real life was a rollercoaster. On the set of the Oscar-willing film “Terms of Endearment,” there was gossip that verbal and physical fights were all over the production. You know it’s bad when Jack Nicholson steps in to keep the peace.

10. Charlize Theron & Tom Hardy

During “Mad Max: Fury Road” these strong personalities often butted heads, and it didn’t help that Hardy had a tumultuous relationship with the director. Theron did say that the set conditions didn’t help, and the fact that they were driving on a moving truck all day long and didn’t have an official script was also very frustrating.

11. The Rock & Vin Diesel

“The Fate of the Furious” was a dramatic movie for both of these actors — especially when Dwayne Johnson posted a rant on social media calling out Vin for his poor work ethic. He wrote, “Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t” and went on to call these men “candy-a*sses.” Evidently, he didn’t like Vin Diesel’s lack of punctuality and attitude on set.
