10 Celebrities Who Are Surprisingly Still Single in 2022

You might think that being a celebrity is amazing, solely based on the fact that you can date pretty much any person you want, but a lot of celebs are happily single and want you to know it! The conscious choice to be alone is still judged, especially if you’re a woman. Still, there are many celebrities who have been honest about the fact that they’re not looking for a relationship. Here are the top celebs in Hollywood who are loving being single in 2022.

1. Selena Gomez

Although she’s one of the most stunning women in the world, this popular actress has never been afraid to speak up about being single. Although the media has speculated based on seeing her with different guys, but she said in a TikTok video where she’s third-wheeling a couple showing affection, “I’m totally fine being single, it’s a real thing. It’s fine.” In 2020, she shared in an interview that she’s been alone for almost 5 years and said “I wouldn’t take anything back. I think this was so important to me.”

2. Tracee Ellis Ross

Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross has never been married, and she’s perfectly fine with that. She told Shape magazine that the lockdown during COVID-19 helped her find self-love in a new way, expanding, “But in my wonderful and robust experience of being single, I have learned to have a productive relationship with loneliness and an intensely juicy relationship with my joyful solitude, I really enjoy my company.” Ross stated further that actively loving yourself is important and that “you get back what you put in.”

3. Emma Watson

We’re obsessed with Emma Watson’s new term for being single: self-partnered. Watson used the term when celebrating her 30th birthday back in 2019. She spoke with British Vogue about how society pressures women to achieve relationship milestones with age and that the subliminal messaging started to make her feel “stressed and anxious.” Although it took her a while, Emma appreciates all the nuances of being self-partnered.

4. Fran Drescher

The Nanny has been flying solo for quite some time, and she’s fine with it. Her last relationship was one of the most public divorces in Hollywood. After being married for over 2 decades, her husband Peter Marc Jacobson came out of the closet, leading Fran Drescher to find love “with herself”. The time apart led her to not be co-dependent or fearful of doing things by herself, she told People magazine in 2020. She says she’s in a relationship with herself, and that it’s going “quite well.”

5. Mindy Kaling

Mindy is one of the most successful women in Hollywood, partially thanks to her show The Mindy Project. She reflected back to her 20s with Flare magazine, recalling her 20s as being “not only boy crazy but marriage and relationship crazy.” Today, she finds her work to be so rewarding that it would only be a burden to go home and ask someone about their day. Still, she’s a proud mom to two kids, Spencer and Katherine.

6. Jennifer Aniston

Although people have speculated that she reunited with Brad Pitt, Jennifer has been pretty low-key since her marriage to Justin Theroux. She’s criticized the tabloids and paparazzi and shared in an essay for Huffington Post in 2016, “Women are realizing it more and more knowing that they don’t have to settle with a man just to have that child. Times have changed and that is also what is amazing is that we do have so many options these days.” She concluded saying that women now get to determine their own “happily ever after.”

7. Charlize Theron

Blonde stunner Charlize Theron revealed on the Drew Barrymore Show that she hadn’t dated anybody in years. While she’s not opposed to having a relationship, she said that she doesn’t feel lonely, and her life is “really good, so you better be able to bring that and maybe better because I just won’t accept anything less.” It seems that parenting is her priority, and we totally get that.

8. Teri Hatcher

After two marriages, Teri Hatcher is in her 50s and loving single life. She recently told People that there was a major difference between “being lonely and being alone” and that she wants to remove the stigma surrounding people who have been single for a long time. Furthermore, Hatcher says that sometimes, the reality of post-divorce life can be empowering, and that “you are allowed to be proud of your life when you’re not part of a couple.”

9. January Jones

Although she’s dated her fair share of famous men, January Jones has stated that she doesn’t feel unhappy or lonely regarding being single. She told Red Online that she just doesn’t feel that she needs a partner, and like many women on this list, if she does decide to be in a relationship, it would have to be an amazing person.

10. Diane Keaton

Diane Keaton has never gotten married and has forever cool-girl status in our minds. She told WENN that “the old maid myth is garbage” and that not being married hasn’t made her life any less. Like many women, she believed in the ideal that you would find a person that you lived with until you died, but today, she calls the notion “ridiculous” and still doesn’t allow her relationship status to define her.
