Georgia rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene might be trying to make a name for herself in politics, but the outfits she wears to major events have often been described as inappropriate. The political player, who has admitted to believing in the QAnon conspiracy theory, is mostly known for mocking Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s false eyelashes. In response, Crockett called Greene a “bleach blonde bad built butch body.”
Greene’s appearance has garnered criticism online ever since she tried to mix things up with her wardrobe. Here are Marjorie Taylor Greene’s worst fashion moments of all time.
Formalwear to the gun range
Greene is a big fan of flaunting her Second Amendment rights to the public. When she ran for reelection in 2022, she was photographed at a firing range with a gun in her hand, wearing a bizarrely formal blue dress complete with decorative buttons and a ruffled neckline.
The worst part? Her nude pumps, which probably aren’t the ideal shoe to wear when you’re firing a gun. Especially since the other accessories of ear muffs and goggles didn’t exactly match the rest of her look. It appears that Greene needs to understand the context of formal versus casual aesthetics a bit better.
She tried to make a statement and looked like Cruella De Vil
This look might be even worse than the face mask she wore to her 2021 swearing-in, which had “Trump won” emblazoned on it. At President Joe Biden’s 2023 State of the Union address, Greene wore a dramatic white wool coat with a distracting alpaca fur collar. According to Greene’s rep, she did so to comment on the white Chinese spy balloon that the president neglected to address in his speech.
Co-hosts from the view commented that she looked like the villain from “101 Dalmations,” and we can’t disagree. Bill Maher roasted her on his show, saying, “It looks like it’s from the KKK’s new couture line at Dullard’s.”
A MAGA hat that was a copyright violation
Wearing a MAGA hat is bad enough, but somehow, Greene made it even worse. She was photographed wearing her MAGA hat before a Donald Trump rally in Georgia. The rally was happening at the same time as her alma mater’s football games, as indicated by her Instagram caption that read, “Nothing better on a Saturday than a Bulldog victory and a rally with my favorite President!”
The hat was custom-made, with the G resembling the UGA logo. While she was trying to represent two of her passions, the internet was not impressed. One user told her she ruined the football team’s logo, while another warned that it was a “copyright violation.” Based on information from the UGA website, using the school’s logo to promote a political agenda is illegal. UGA even has a history of lawsuits against businesses that decided to use the organization’s trademarked material without authorization, so she had better hope they don’t take legal action!
A strappy flower monstrosity
She might have left her passion for the Second Amendment at home for her RNC speech, but she did take the opportunity to talk about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. While she didn’t celebrate the traditional right to bear arms, she showed up for another kind of gun show when she rocked a “flower power” dress with ultra-thin spaghetti straps.
The abomination of an outfit stuck out like a sore thumb at the RNC, which one user on X said reminded them of “trailer park” fashion, while another said it looked like she was ready to head to prom. Although the skinny straps were bad, the 3D floral embellishment on the front, complete with garish petals and all, made the look less flattering.
The tone-deaf State of the Union outfit
Appropriating Black Lives Matter movement slogans was a new low for Green, who wore a “Say Her Name” shirt at Biden’s 2024 State of the Union address. On the shirt was a nursing student who was allegedly killed by someone who entered the United States illegally in an attempt to display her anti-immigrant stance.
She also wore a blindingly bright red jacket and her favorite “Make America Great Again” hat, a breach of the rule forbidding house members from campaigning in the chamber.
She brazenly admitted to violating the dress code but was upset that she was threatened to get escorted out of the event, telling RSBN, “You can haul me out of here. Go ahead and try it, but I’m not taking this hat off.’” This is even more ironic when you think that she once complained on X about Senator John Fetterman working in a hoodie and athletic shorts, saying it went against the dress code that “set etiquette and respect for our institutions.”
From a quick Google search, anyone can tell that Greene’s wardrobe is filled with disrespectful looks that range from offensive to just plain ugly.
