Prince Harry originally founded the games in honor of the injured, sick, or wounded service personnel and veterans.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their way to Whistler, British Columbia, they needed to bring much warmer clothes than the breezy Cali wardrobe that they were used to. The visit was made to have a meet and greet with the athletes taking part in the Invictus Games Winter Training Camp.
Seeing as Harry and Meghan actually lived on Vancouver Island in BC after they gave up their roles as working royals, visiting Canada’s west coast was a bit of a homecoming moment for them.
