Seeing as Dua Lipa is one of the most famous pop stars and beautiful women in the world, it’s no surprise that her love life has a spotlight on it. The singer’s views on heartbreak and romance have changed over the years as Dua has grown as a woman. In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, she said, “I think I’ve had breakups in my life where I felt like the only kind of breakup you could have was when things just ended really badly.”
Luckily, the star has evolved over the years, and so have her relationships. She learned that it was possible to let relationships end amicably, and that lesson taught her a lot. Over the last few years, Dua has gone public with quite a few suitors, from her relationship with the hunky Anwar Hadid to her present-day romance with “Master of Air” star Callum Turner.
Callum Turner (2024-present)
These days, Dua is in the press for her new relationship with British actor Callum Turner, who has appeared in movies such as “Emma,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” and “The Last Letter From Your Lover.” Previously linked to Vanessa Kirby of “The Crown,” it now seems Dua has caught his eye.
Rumors started swirling around Lipa and Turner in January 2024 after TMZ released a video of the couple sweetly slow-dancing and smooching each other at the “Masters of the Air” afterparty. They were also photographed later in January on a date night in Santa Monica.
Romain Gavras (2023)
Although her time with the French film director didn’t last long, they sure looked good together. Linked in March 2023, Lipa and Gavras made their first public appearance together at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May, walking the red carpet for the premiere of Omar La Fraise (aka “The King of Algiers”).
Although these two creative individuals helped each other elevate their respective art forms and always made each other laugh (with a healthy dose of PDA on the side), they quietly broke up towards the end of the year.
Anwar Hadid (2019-2021)
Dua Lipa’s most high-profile relationship was with Anwar Hadid, the younger (and very handsome) brother of supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid. First connected in the summer of 2019, they spent the warm months on dates that were filled with PDA. In November 2019, they made things red-carpet official at the 47th annual American Music Awards.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Lipa told People magazine how quarantining with Anwar made their connection even stronger, and just a month after celebrating their one-year anniversary in June 2020, they adopted a dog together. Unfortunately, they split at the end of 2021.
Paul Klein
Klein and Lipa had a short-lived five-month relationship, which began in 2017 and ended in January 2018. Klein, the frontman of pop-rock band LANY, referred to their breakup in an Instagram post from July 2018, writing, “I deleted insta and Twitter from my phone Jan 4th bc my heart got ripped right out of my f*cking chest and the internet was the last thing I needed.”
Isaac Carew
Lipa’s first public relationship was with Isaac Carew, a model turned chef who she was linked to starting in 2013. Their relationship was on and off until 2017, when they briefly split (that’s when her romance with Paul Klein began), but they reconnected at the beginning of 2018.
Carew explained further on Instagram, talking about how the two never had issues with loyalty and love but instead with scheduling conflicts that prevented them from being together. He added, “Luckily our skin is tougher and love is stronger than this.” They lasted another 18 months before deciding to break up in June 2019 — permanently.
