Ageing gracefully is not just a skill, it’s an art form at this point. So many celebrities choose to tweak their appearance, nip and tuck things to keep the illusion of staying young forever. There’s nothing wrong with it, to each their own. But we do have a soft spot for those who choose to avoid going under the knife or at least keep their tweaks to a minimum, instead of aiming to look like they’re 20 when they could be your grandparent. So let’s take a look at some of the celebs who aged gracefully.
1. Molly Ringwald
If you could personify 80s movies, it would look like Molly Ringwald. We loved her in Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club. She just fits so well into the 80s, but in the year of our lord 2020 Molly is still current and fits in just as well in shows like Riverdale. And we gotta say she looks amazing.
2. Jodie Foster
Silence of the Lambs is a great movie but it’s far from being the only one Jodie is known for. Those who remember the 70s also know her from Bugsy Malone and Freaky Friday, and honestly every single movie she’s been in since is a straight-up masterpiece, just like Jodie is.
3. Carrie Fisher
Wasn’t Princess Leia everyone’s crush at some point? In fact, we’re pretty sure she remained a huge crush for her fans up until the end. Carrie passed away in 2016, but we thought she looked absolutely stunning and aged very gracefully, even if she did leave us way too soon.
4. Julia Roberts
It feels like Julia Roberts hasn’t changed a bit since the 90s. She has the same infectious smile and her energy is as playful and positive as ever. Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, The Runaway Bride – those were true 90s romcoms. Julia took on different roles and played with different genres since, but when you see her on the red carpet or watch an interview with her, she still radiates the same energy and her smile is still as blinding as ever.
5. Diane Keaton
Diane Keaton is such a free spirit and we love that about her. We also love how she has a very distinctive style yet manages to look fresh every time she appears on the red carpet. She’s just such a breath of fresh air, even in her 70s.
6. Demi Moore
We don’t really know how Demi Moore does it, but she just ages like fine wine. Remember her in Ghost? Remember G.I. Jane? Indecent Proposal? It’s hard to believe that was three or four decades ago because Demi still looks hot AF.
7. Elisabeth Shue
Can you even imagine Back to the Future two without Elisabeth Shue? Adventures in Babysitting would’ve never been such a hit if it wasn’t for her. And we gotta say she’s still got it. Looking good, Elisabeth.
8. Cindy Crawford
We all know that modeling is all about unrealistic standards. Age and genetics play a massive role in it. But look at Cindy Crawford these days, she went from being the hottest girl on the catwalk to the most graceful and sophisticated woman in her 50s. Makes you jealous of her daughter, doesn’t it? She’s got some killer genes in her.
9. Winona Ryder
Winona Ryder is such a legend. She’s been in all of your favorite movies (Edward Scissorhands, Little Women, Beetlejuice, Autumn in New York) and dated your favorite hotties like Johnny Depp and Matt Damon, then took a hiatus from acting for what felt like a decade, only to come back and make us fall in love with her all over again in Stranger Things.
