Melania Trump’s Future Plans Raise Questions About Relationship With Barron

Despite rumors that Melania might be leaving her husband, the ex-First Lady is already preparing to inhabit the White House again. A source who’s a close family friend claims to have insider knowledge that Melania will have firm boundaries set in place when it comes to First Lady duties if Donald Trump does win the 2024 election.

The reason? Her son, Barron. And while it wouldn’t be surprising that Melania wants to put Barron Trump first, many people wonder if this is merely an excuse for her to stay out of the limelight, as she has done in recent years.

Her hubby, Donald, has been in the spotlight several times recently, and Melania hasn’t been by his side for any of them. She’s also been M.I.A on the campaign trail as Trump hits the road to compete against his adversaries in the fight for a second term as POTUS.

Melania caused quite a stir when she was absent from Donald Trump’s criminal trial proceedings and was nowhere to be seen during his first presidential debate of 2024. This is the main reason why divorce rumors are running rampant. Their son, Barron Trump, who is thinking about heading to New York University in the fall, has also been noticeably absent. He has avoided publicly supporting his father during this turbulent time.

But despite all the rumors and his family’s lack of support, Donald is going full steam ahead, and so is his wife, who is unenthusiastically getting ready for a second run.

As one insider told Page Six, “Melania has made a deal with her husband that if he wins the presidency, she will not have to be on First Lady duty 24/7.” According to the same source, who calls Melania a “hands-on mother,” the former model has already made plans to spend part of each month and maybe even every week in New York City.

The internet doesnt believe Melanias excuses

The source that spoke to Page Six added that Barron had never been truly independent before now. His mother, Melania, was concerned about the additional stress of Barron being not just a freshman in college but also the son of a potential president, hence needing to be accompanied by the Secret Service.

Even if Trump doesn’t get elected, Barron’s dad is a highly controversial man in America, and New York City, where NYU is located, is a mostly Democratic place. Melania has always pushed this narrative that she avoids the spotlight in order to maintain Barron’s privacy, but since Barron is now technically a grown man, this excuse might not be so believable anymore. At least, that’s what many people on social media are saying.

One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted: “Hands-on mother? Barron is 18. He’s going to college … Is she planning on being his dorm mate? Taking the top bunk? Also, hasn’t Melania been hiding in New York for months while abandoning Barron?”

Another person on the platform said that while the “mothering Barron excuse” worked when her son was still a child, seeing as he’s 18 years old and college-bound, Melania should be more focused on the campaign trail.

Melania Trump has always been known for protecting not just her son’s privacy but her own. Now that she doesn’t have Barron to hide behind, she’s lost her most convenient excuse for not supporting her husband publicly.

The former first lady is known for staying private and remaining behind the scenes, but with Barron out on his own, she may no longer have a convenient excuse for not publicly supporting Donald.
